I feel so blessed to be working with so many caring people. It is amazing the amount of donations we receive, cards we receive and volunteers' commitment to helping our brain cancer friends! Here is a card from Julie; she hand stitched the saying on this and other cards she sent for our SLT friends. THANKS for all you do for SLT!

I love this stitching! If anyone knows how it is done, I would love to hear about it!

Hi everyone - thanks for the kind comments on the design of my card - I _love_ to create and it's been so rewarding doing cards for Send Love Today - here's how I do the stitching:
-- I either print, write, stamp (just in a light colored ink like gold) or stencil the words on the front of the card
-- I then use DMC floss (2 strands) and basically just use the needle to poke holes and hand-stitch along the wording
-- try to keep the stitch length fairly small
-- once the stitching is done, I then cover the back of my work (ie. on the back side of the front flap) with the same cardstock used for the card itself - this way, it covers up the back stitching and you can't tell anything is different - I just carefully glue the edges and trim any overage
You can create all kinds of cards using various sayings, floss colours, etc - sky's the limit so have fun with it !!
