Nice note

Hi ladies,
Here is an excerpt from Diana’s Caring Bridge site to remind us of how important our cards are to our friends.
“I just received the cutest card and gift in the mail from Marie. It made me cry. Besides being very pretty with burgandy flowers on and in it, there is a pretty white hanky in it for me to use for all my crying spells. There also is a pretty little ornament of sorts with a heart in the middle. It's so cute, I think I am going to use it on one of my sweaters that zips up the front as a pull, or a jacket pull. Anyway, so many of you at SendLoveToday.org send me the most beautiful, adorable cards and gifts. They always brighten my day and make me cry. Just knowing that you spend time out of your day making them for me and writing a little note of friendship and love in them. I wish that someday I could meet each and every one of you. I love you very much! You are such wonderful ladies! I am so blessed to called you my friends. “

Summer inspiration

Hi ladies,
I was watching Project Runway this week and they had to go out and take pictures to inspire their fashions. That would be a cool idea for our cards. Look closely at your pictures and see what colors or designs jump out at you and transfer that to your cards.

Italy

Hi everyone,
I have not updated in a month...shame on me...LOL. I have a good excuse. I was in Italy for 11 days and then off to NY with my sisters and mom for a weekend. Memorial Day

Hi ladies,
Memorial Day is much more meaningful to me since losing my cousin to the Iraqi War violence. I now don't let a soldier go by without thanking him or her for their service. Eddie was very special to all of us as is every single American soldier. Be sure to take the time to thank them when you see them.

May already!

I cannot believe it is May already! Time flies. I attended Artiscape in April which gave me lots of fun ideas and then Adventures in Stamping in Akron. I wish I could devote more time to this because it is soooo much fun. Speaking of fun, one of the ideas I discovered is Zentangles. Go to www.zentangle.com to see what the fun is all about.

Stampington & Co.

Okay ladies, it is getting exciting. Stampington emailed me the proof for the words for our free half page ad that will appear in magazines starting with August Stampers Sampler and ending with the Summer of 2009 Art Doll. This should help SLT a lot and I can't wait to see it in print. Stampers Sampler is probably one of my favorites but I like Artful Blogging, Take Ten and Life Images too.

Book titles

Hi everyone! Does anyone have any specific books they look to for inspiration? Me, I am a magazineaholic. I love all the Stampington magazines....Take Ten, Stampers Sampler, Artful Blogging etc. In fact, Send Love Today is going to have a free ad in some of their publications this summer and fall. We hope that it helps to get our name out there and more people join us as volunteers. I will let you know for sure what issues we will be in so you can look for the ads.
